Flower the Skunk

Tonight we were all having fun in the living room before dinner. Kyle playing his guitar, McGee, Miss Em and I on the floor playing. Lately McGee has been putting everyone and everything (including every stuffed animal and blanket he can find) "night night". He gets all of the cuddly paraphernalia that is necessary to "night night" and then we all lay down until he shouts, "We're awake!" Miss Em is a willing participant as she wants to do anything she can with McGee.

Tonight McGee also had the Bambi book he borrowed earlier today from his cousin Brady. Now McGee has long been attached to Bambi as it is a special movie he gets to see only at Grandma and Grandpa's. I'm not sure that he understands that Bambi's mom dies, but he LIGHTS UP with all of the music and baby creatures and is fascinated with "Bambi's daddy". Well tonight McGee was enjoying "reading" all about Bambi amidst all of his favorite blankets and this was a snippet from our conversation:

Mom: "McGee it's time for us to eat dinner."

McGee (in his very matter-of-fact voice): "Yes, it is, but Flower can't eat dinner, Flower's in the book." Love my boy!
