Chipped Perfection

We have had a fabulous day starting with early morning blueberry pancakes with the cousins and midday bike riding and play.

At one point while riding her bike Miss Em went off the sidewalk and crashed her bike bracing herself with her hands but unfortunately not enough to hold back her face which hit the ground too.  I was across the street and wasn't sure if she'd cry at first (she has the highest pain tolerance I've seen in a child) but cry she did and Mommy ran right over and gave her some cuddles.  I didn't spot any blood and minutes later she was up riding again.

It wasn't until changing her for nap that I noticed her front tooth was chipped.  Yes, chipped, permanently (well as permanent as baby teeth are).  Here is a little before/after for you:

A couple more before:

And after...

Is it just me or does this chipped tooth actual go perfectly with her personality?  Even with a chipped tooth that face is just absolute perfection to me.

  2. I could eat her up in an instant. That smile with her eyes tightly closed just melts my heart. What a tough and brave little girl!

  4. It probably won't surprise you that Skylar has a chipped front tooth. In fact she has hit the same tooth THREE times and chipped away a bit more each time. She's to the point where if she hits it one more time....it has to be pulled. :) I still think it's cute though. Just as cute as miss Em's. It totally goes with her personality. :D Love the new blog look too.

  6. What's funny is now that she has the chipped tooth, it just becomes part of her personality! Ella had one of her front teeth injured and pulled at 2, and then she chipped the other front tooth a year or two later. She now has no front teeth and it's going to be SO weird when they come in and she has two full front teeth!

  9. Seriously...she is the cutest! I love the chipped tooth! It adds to her personality. And it gives character! I mean...everyone has regular non-chipped teeth. Where's the fun in that? :)
