A little late...the Pumpkin Patch!

I'm sure you are expecting to be seeing posts about picking out Christmas trees...not pumpkins!  However I just realized I never posted about McGee's first preschool field trip - a trip to the pumpkin farm!

McGee took awhile to warm up and was a little shy and grouchy to start, but eventually he was enjoying learning about all of the different animals, how hay bales are made, taking a hay ride and playing on the very fun playground.

Miss Em loved meeting all of the animals!

Picking out their pumpkins!

The hayride sitting by Miss Karen, making mini hay bales, feeding the animals, bouncing on the giant hay jump and sliding in the playground - the kids had a blast!

Our Little Miss Independent 2 yo decided she wanted to go off on her own and climb the giant haybale mountain - ALL BY HERSELF!  Anyone surprised to hear she didn't want any help from mom???  The middle picture is of our adventurer on the top of her mountain.

We couldn't leave without trying some of their fudgilicious treats - ice cream cones filled with fudge and sprinkles anyone?

It was a great first field trip and I'm so glad Grandma could come along and enjoy the fun and provide an extra set of hands when they were needed!  Looking forward to the pumpkin patch again next year!
