Take Me Out to the Ball Game

A couple of weeks ago we went to our first baseball game with the kids.  It was the local minor league team and we enjoyed $1 hot dogs and baseball helmet ice cream sundaes - mmm!  We were invited to go and celebrate my cousin Nick's birthday, but can you believe the only picture I got of him was this profile shot and no other pics of the rest of the family.  Shame on me!

I LOVE these first couple of pictures - you may not see their faces but these timeless captures pull at my heart.  Remember when I used to post "Heart Shots"?  I may need to start that up again....let me think about that.

The $1 hot dogs were great, Dinger the mascot came up to us with his ukelele (it was Hawaiian theme night) and have I told you how much I love Miss Em's Keen sandals?  We bought them on clearance 2 summers ago at REI and she is just now able to wear them.

My two serious, focused boys - 27 years difference in age yet so similar sometimes in personality.

Miss Em sure enjoyed her helmet ice cream sundae...down to the last drop!

First Baseball Game Joy (thanks to my blogger friend Shannon Joy each time I post a photo I want to follow it's description with the word "Joy")

  3. Thanks gals! The heart shots I started LONG ago to post pictures that I loved that spoke to MY heart but may not have been the best technically or shown my subjects in the manner most would expect from a great shot. :)
