Catching Up - The Tree

As usual I'm way behind in my documenting of our family life, but better to be living life then sitting here at the computer all of the time right?  Well you can expect the next few posts to be all about our Christmas season - the preparations, the joy, the celebrations.

Setting up the Christmas Tree

Oops!  About 10 minutes after the tree was set-up, McGee was sitting on the couch between a couple of boxes watching a Mickey Mouse Christmas show and I heard, "Mommy, help!".  I came in to find him still sitting on the couch and the tree fallen over.  I don't think anyone was to blame, but when I asked him what happened he said, "I don't know, but I bet Miss Em had something to do with it."  Guess you know who gets into the most trouble around these parts lately huh?  Miss Em was found FAR from the tree actually and not to blame, although we did have one ornament casualty thanks for our busy 20 month old, an egg ornament I'd had growing up.  Fortunately we have many other ornaments and the tree went back up and stayed up with the help of a brick for weight on the base.
